Specializing in defense of medical malpractice claims, Ms. Hansen is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara (B.A., Law and Society, 1997), and the University of San Francisco School of Law (J.D. 2002), where she also earned a Thomas J. McCarthy Intellectual Property/Cyber Law Certificate.

Ms. Hansen served as a Articles Editor for the University of San Francisco Law Review (2001-2001) and Judicial Extern to the Honorable A. James Robertson of San Francisco Superior Court (2001).

Ms. Hansen was admitted to the State Bar of California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in 2003.
