A litigator with over 33
years of experience in toxic tort, professional negligence, product
liability and civil rights/employment discrimination lawsuits.
Though primarily engaged
by the defense, Mr. Ward's regular counseling of business clients
has required the representation of plaintiffs in such matters as a
claim for legal malpractice which produced a jury verdict in excess
of $1 million.
A graduate of the
University of San Francisco (B.A., 1968; J.D. cum laude, 1971), Mr.
Ward was Associate Editor of the USF Law Review.
While practicing in the
Office of the San Francisco City Attorney, Mr. Ward became the Chief
Trial Deputy, the Chief Deputy, and the acting City Attorney prior
to joining Hassard Bonnington in 1986.
Mr. Ward is a member of
the American Board of Trial Advocates and the National Association
of Railroad Trial Counsel, and serves on the faculties of the
Hastings College of the Law Center for Trial and Appellate Advocacy
and the University of San Francisco Intensive Advocacy Program.
