Elton S. Rushing

Mr. Rushing recently graduated from The University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) with a Concentration in Health Law & Policy.  During law school, Elton worked for the University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) in their health affairs and technology law group, the California Attorney General’s Office in the licensing section handling professional licensing denials and revocations, and the UC Hastings / UCSF Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic providing wrap-around legal services to patients of UCSF.  Prior to law school, Elton gained valuable clinical healthcare experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN).  In particular, Elton has experience in correctional nursing from working at the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, where he provided medical care to inmates and responded to emergencies in county jail, as well as experience in the field of public health from working as an RN and Nurse Coordinator at the Health Services Agency, where he provided care to the community in various settings such as urgent care, pediatrics, family health, and the refugee clinic.
