Ms. Ortiz is an avid insurance defense litigator specializing in the defense of medical malpractice and professional liability actions. Prior to joining Hassard Bonnington LLP in 2023, Ms. Ortiz represented corporate insurers and fortune 500 companies in the retail, restaurant and hospitality industry, on a broad range of general liability issues, including premises liability, employment, labor and business disputes. Ms. Ortiz brings extensive litigation experience to her practice, having served as trial counsel on several premises liability cases facing multi-million-dollar exposure with favorable results.
